More than 120 islanders took part in our 2024 Sleep Out at Pier Road Car Park, coming together in cold weather to raise awareness of homelessness in Jersey and support men experiencing homelessness in our community. The 2024 Sleep Out was kindly sponsored by Jersey Mutual, and we were delighted that the event raised over £30,000.
Participants of all ages joined us, from families and young people from the Jersey Youth Service to teams from organisations including JT Global, Specsavers, Andium Homes and the Government of Jersey. The evening brought people together in solidarity, choosing to experience one night without the comfort of a bed to help highlight the challenges faced by those without a safe place to stay.
The Sanctuary Trust team and volunteers ran a soup kitchen, with soup generously provided by Highlands College. Breakfast rolls were kindly provided by Cooper & Co the following morning. The night also featured an acoustic set from Vini Jones, creating a memorable moment of reflection for everyone taking part.
