Sanctuary Trust invites the community to take part in its annual Sleep Out on Friday, 14th November 2025 at Pier Road Car Park, St Helier, proudly supported by Skipton International.
Participants will give up their beds for one night, sleeping on the concrete floor of the car park, to raise vital funds and awareness for those experiencing homelessness in Jersey.
The event runs from 8pm to 6am and will include tea and coffee, acoustic music, hot soup and bread, and a light breakfast snack in the morning, provided by Beresford Street Kitchen.
Tim Ringsdore, Chair of Sanctuary Trust, said: “The Sleep Out is Sanctuary Trust’s flagship event of the year. Earlier in 2025, I spent a week sleeping outdoors in St. Aubin for my ‘Week Without a Home’ challenge, which was set by our residents. That gave me just a glimpse of how tough it can be. But I’ll always emphasise that the Sleep Out is not about replicating homelessness – it’s about solidarity, awareness, and raising the funds we urgently need to continue supporting people in crisis.”
Sanctuary Trust is particularly encouraging corporates and organisations to sign up this year. Teams are invited to take part as a unique and challenging form of team building, while supporting a vital local cause.

Sanctuary Trust is aiming to raise £50,000 from this year’s Sleep Out, after raising over £30,000 in 2024. Funds raised will directly support Sanctuary Trust’s outreach, support work, and the ongoing development of the charity’s services.
Everyone taking part is asked to raise sponsorship through JustGiving or by using Sanctuary Trust’s sponsorship form. Participants can register individually or as a team of friends, family, or colleagues.
