Jersey Legacy Week, which is running from 11 – 17 September, 2023 celebrates the impact of gifts in wills and provides the opportunity to share the difference they can make to local charities, no matter how big or small.
Legacy giving has become a transformative force in the charitable sector, and Sanctuary Trust is proud to highlight the immense positive impact it can have. During Legacy Week, we encourage individuals to consider the profound effect their legacy can have on our mission to provide a place of sanctuary, support and hope to homeless men in crisis.
Sanctuary Trust relies on the generosity of donors and fundraising initiatives to be able to survive, so gifts provide financial stability and security not only for the charity, but for the 30 residents currently
living across three properties. We understand that making these decisions can be deeply personal, and we are here to provide information, support, and guidance every step of the way.
“Legacy Week is a powerful way to remind people of the much needed and greatly appreciated support leaving a legacy can have on local charities like us. Legacies help us immensely in ensuring the security of our future and enabling us to provide the vital support to those affected by the increasing homelessness problem within our community” said Tim Ringsdore, Chairman at Sanctuary Trust, “including a gift to charities like us in your will, no matter how small, will make a big difference and is an honourable, selfless gesture.”
Family and friends will always come first, but if you would like more information about leaving us a legacy, or to find out how to amend your existing will, please speak to your legal advisor or contact our Fundraising team at fundraising@sanctuarytrust.org.je.
