You can only take part if you have registered. There will be a registration desk at the event. Please report to the desk on arrival.

Fundraising commitment

There is no commitment to fundraise for this event, but we hope participants will endeavour to collect even a small amount of fundraising for the charity.

Personal health

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are healthy enough, and in particular free from covid-related symptoms, to sleep out overnight. If in doubt, please take advice from your medical practitioner.

We strongly advise you to dress appropriately for the event (warm and water-proof clothing) and to bring a warm sleeping bag, a pillow and your own piece of cardboard, free from metal staples, to sleep on.

Personal safety and security

During the event, you are responsible for your own safety and security. You must agree to take reasonable care not to compromise other participants’ safety and security.

Age limits

Under-16s may only participate with our prior agreement and must be accompanied by their parent or guardian at all times. If sleeping together with other participants, the parent or guardian must be from the same household or an authorised group/organisation.

There is no maximum age limit but participants over the age of 65 years are advised to seek advice from their medical practitioner before taking part.

Service animals e.g. Guide Dogs and well-behaved dogs may be brought to the event. Any dog that mis-behaves will need to leave the event.

Personal belongings

We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to your personal belongings during the event. We strongly advise you not to bring valuables or delicate technology with you.

Event organisers

You must follow all instructions and directions from event organisers, G4S security, or any others who are working or volunteering at the event on behalf of Sanctuary Trust. If you do not, you may be asked to leave the event site.
